🌱 I’m currently learning how to reach out more using Google Colab. I have prepared several examples for you starting with the repository BPL_TEST2_Batch. Here you follow a Jupyter notebook and can continue interact using Python and modifiy the simulations and graphs shown. More about the technology used here and about the modelling here. No installation needed!

Note 2026-09-14 Today FMU_explore ver 1.2.0 is released! This means that the version is addressed slightly differently from before, see the notebooks. The application BPL_TEST2_Batch can be run with both pyfmi and fmpy using this released version. The other applications will gradually in the coming days be updated in a similar way.
Note 2026-09-07 Now FMU_explore 1.1.5 is here and can be used for both PyFMI and FMPy. The notebook for FMPy is adjusted for the application BPL_TEST2_Batch and gradually the notebooks will be updated for the other applications as well. The adjustments for all notebooks with PyFMI are already in place.
Note 2026-09-01 Now all applications can run with PyFMI 2.22.0 and FMU_explore 1.1.4 in the Python 3.13 environment.
Note 2026-08-28 Now most applications can also run with PyFMI under the new default Python 3.13. These applications are also updated with FMU_explore ver 1.1.1. All applications can also run with FMPy with Python 3.13 with the older version of FMU_explore without problems. Development of the package FMU_explore continues!
Note 2026-08-24 Here seems to be a general problem with installing PyFMI that has nothing to do with my work to use the new package FMU_explore. The main reason seems to be that from today default Python shifted from 3.12 to 3.13. I recommend you to use the notebook using fmpy instead for the time being and here no problem with the new default Python.
Note 2026-08-21 The setup-scripts for each application have for a long time had a structure of a specific application part and a general part that I call FMU_explore. Now this general part is imported as a separate module file and placed at a central place. This organisation facilitates future maintenance and further development. The setup files are now two smaller files and the setup takes up a few lines in the notebook for clarity. Now for test just for the application BPL_TEST2_Batch. The module is done for PyFMI and will later be done also for FMPy. The version is 1.1.0 and have otherwise the same functionality as before. The ideas behind FMU_explore you find here.

💞️ I’m looking forward to collaborate on expanding the examples of use of Modelica in Colab. I also tailor-make models of biotechnical processes for your needs on a consultancy basis. Work with processes involves broader data analysis and is a part of my work, and simulation is just one tool, but an important one. Digital Twins is a catchword these days and part of what I do.
